Help & FAQ

Is the pose library free?

Yes. Every pose page and every style guide is free to read, with no account. We plan to sell optional printable practice tools and self-paced programs later — the reference itself stays free.

Is it safe to learn poses from a website?

For most healthy people, gentle beginner poses are fine to try carefully at home. Read the whole pose entry first — especially the "Take care" notes — move slowly, and stop if anything hurts. For inversions, deep backbends, or if you're pregnant, injured, or managing a health condition, learn with a qualified teacher first. Nothing here is medical advice.

Why do some poses have several names?

Different traditions name the same shapes differently. Yin calls Seated Forward Fold "Caterpillar"; Bikram calls Tree Pose "Tadasana", which elsewhere means Mountain. Each pose page lists the common English name, the Sanskrit, and every style-specific name we know of.

Are the Ashtanga and Bikram sequences really complete?

Yes — the Ashtanga Primary Series and the Bikram 26 & 2 are listed pose by pose, in practice order, with the traditional section structure. Open styles like Hatha and Vinyasa show their full common repertoire instead, since they have no fixed order.

Why do some poses not have a photo yet?

The library launched text-first. Photos are being added in batches, prioritized by the fixed sequences and beginner poses. Every entry is fully usable from the written steps in the meantime.

How do I report an error?

We'd genuinely like to know — email hello@feelyoga.com. Corrections to alignment cues, Sanskrit, or sequence order get priority, since a reference that's wrong is worse than one that's incomplete.
