Feel calm
Slow the body down and the mind follows.
Stress lives in the body as much as the mind — a clenched jaw, high shoulders, shallow breath. The fastest way to feel calmer usually isn't to think your way there; it's to change what the body is doing. Long exhales, supported shapes, and a few minutes of stillness signal the nervous system that nothing needs fighting or fleeing.
The practices here are deliberately unimpressive to look at. Nothing requires flexibility or strength, and most can be done in work clothes. What matters is staying long enough for the breath to slow on its own — usually two or three minutes in.
