Focus Reset

Attention training disguised as standing still.

12 minutesGentlebeginnerNeeds: Nothing

When the mind is scattered, willing it to focus rarely works. Giving it a body-based task does. Balancing and slow breathing occupy exactly the channels rumination runs on — you can't wobble-and-recover and doomscroll internally at the same time.

Use this before deep work, after a fractious meeting, or any time the browser-tab count of your mind has gotten out of hand.

Breath

The breath is the practice here — audible, unhurried, and the only thing you're required to think about.

To finish

Open the eyes slowly and go straight to the task that needed you. Don't check anything first.

Prints clean — pin it where you'll practice.
