Yoga at your desk
Micro-practices for the eight-hour chair
The desk is where most modern stiffness is manufactured, which makes it the highest-leverage place to practice. Two five-minute resets — mid-morning, mid-afternoon — do more for a desk worker's neck and back than a single heroic evening session, because they interrupt the accumulation instead of excavating it.
Everything in FeelYoga's desk practices is done in work clothes, standing beside or sitting on an ordinary chair, and looks unremarkable enough for an open-plan office.
Make it work
- · Set two recurring calendar blocks; 'when I remember' means never.
- · The best desk pose is the one you'll do in front of colleagues — unremarkable wins.
- · Pair every reset with looking at something more than six meters away; eyes get chair-shaped too.
- · Fix the workstation as well: screen at eye height, feet on the floor. The stretches undo less if the setup does less damage.
