Feel energized

Movement wakes you up more reliably than caffeine.

Sluggishness is usually a circulation problem, not a character flaw. A few minutes of large, rhythmic movement — folding, reaching, backbending — moves blood, opens the chest, and raises alertness without the crash a second coffee brings.

These practices front-load the big movements: sun-salutation building blocks, standing backbends, and energizing breath work. They're best in the morning or the mid-afternoon slump, and deliberately short enough to actually happen.
